The Qtum Foundation has just officially launched Qtum Ally, a next-generation AI agent designed to go beyond the limits of conventional chatbots, aiming for intelligent automation, comprehensive control, and user privacy protection.
Ally marks Qtum's bold step into the field of decentralized AI, combining the power of multiple large language models (LLMs) with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing users to build and coordinate complex tasks right on their personal computers.
Ally Elevates AI from Conversation to Action
Instead of just answering questions, Qtum Ally is built to “act like a human” and perform a series of real-world tasks. MCP acts as the “USB-C of AI”, allowing Ally to flexibly connect to external applications, databases or services without the need for extensive programming.
Users can:
Automate multi-step processes, such as finding rental properties, creating pivot tables, exporting PowerPoints and sending emails.
Connect multiple LLMs at once such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude, Gemini, Qwen, etc.
Easily add or create new MCP servers to expand customization capabilities.
According to Miguel Palencia, Co-founder of Qtum:
“Ally is a testament to Qtum’s vision where productivity is not about having more tools, but how the tools work together smarter. Ally consolidates everything in a unified and streamlined workspace.”
Qtum Ally's Core Control and Privacy
Unlike cloud-based AI solutions, Qtum Ally is Desktop Native, installed and operated directly on Windows or macOS. This provides three key benefits:
Full control over personal data.
No need to share information with an intermediary server.
Optimized processing performance and instant response.
Qtum emphasizes that Ally adheres to the “AI for the user” philosophy, collecting no personal information beyond the data that the LLM models require to operate.
Free access to premium models
During the launch, Qtum Ally is completely free and specifically opens up temporary access to premium features of many LLMs, including the paid ChatGPT 5. Users can download it directly from Qtum's official GitHub repository, with quick installation instructions for both Windows and macOS.
Qtum Connecting Blockchain and AI
Born in 2017, Qtum Blockchain is a smart contract platform that combines the advantages of Bitcoin and Ethereum, operating on a secure and decentralized Proof-of-Stake mechanism. Qtum is currently listed on many major exchanges such as Binance, Kraken, OKX, Huobi, Upbit...
With more than 50 software updates and expanding into the AI field from 2024, including owning a GPU farm of thousands of NVIDIA cards, Qtum is affirming its strategic direction: bringing blockchain to converge with practical artificial intelligence.
Qtum Ally is the first piece in that vision, a powerful, secure and transparent AI tool, opening up a future where users have complete control over their technology.
